+--------------+ | nCleaner 1.03| +--------------+ 0) Presentation: --------------- Lets you free up space in your TI-Nspire file system by removing useless OS components: - language locales (*) - TI-Nspire Computer Software skins - TI-84+SE backup (**) - OS extensions like he chinese-english dictionnary - log and temp files (*) Note that you can still go on using your TI-Nspire in all different languages, even after removing the locales. (**) You'll still be able to use the TI-84+SE emulator, which will recreate the backup, but you'll start with an empty RAM/ROM next time. On OS 3.1 you can usually gain between 610KB and 3MB, depending if samples and TI-84+SE backup are present or not. 1) Installation: --------------- Send 'nCleaner.tns' to your TI-Nspire. You'll need Ndless 3.1 or a compatible kernel. nCleaner does automatically store you latest cleaning selection. Many of the useless Nspire files are created at the OS installation, but some of them can be recreated by the OS, even after they've been removed. You may copy/move 'nCleaner.tns' to the Ndless startup folder '/ndless/startup'. In that case, nCleaner will silently start on each reboot, and automatically clean up your filesystem using your latest selection. 2) Usage: -------- Start 'nCleaner'. Use the up/down arrow keys to navigate between the removable items - you can check the space they are using on the right. Use the 'click' key to select or deselect an item. Use the 'Enter' key to validate your selection and start cleaning files. Use the 'esc' key to exit without cleaning files or storing your selection. 3) History: ---------- 1.03 - 2016.03.27: CR4 support 1.02 - 2016.01.24: * tns file now 100KB smaller * now also clean log and temp files * optimisations in both normal and startup modes, to compensate for the slow NAND 1.01 - 2012.08.15: fixes units removal bug + includes a patch for systems allready affected 1.00 - 2012.08.13: initial public release 4) Contact: ---------- Critor ( andreanx@hotmail.com) NeoCrisis http://TI-Planet.org
