French interview help? (about food)

So pretend your family is isn't in France and wants to know about food.

1: Greet your family.
2: Tell them you’re eating well and healthy.
3: Talk about a typical French lunch.
4: Talk about a typical French dinner.
5: Recommend a typical French dish to your family and explain why.
6: Say goodbye to your family.

Can you give us a "proof" that you already thought about it... and tried something ?
I don't really like to give the answers like that (and I already told you that !)

Several answers have been given on the chat already, though :)

(Also, it's not very easy to define what "typical" is... But I guess some elements like bread are universal enough in France to be eaten at every meal... so that's one thing you could probably write about :P)
