[TUTO][EN] Fix keyboard on prototype TI-Nspire CAS Touchpad

How to convert prototype TI-Nspire CAS Touchpad calculators with non-functioning keyboards into normal working Nspires
Part 1: Verification of requirements
0. Verify that your calculator is a TI-Nspire CAS Touchpad (black body and keyboard, with monochrome screen). If it is not, this tutorial is not for you, and your keyboard/touchpad problem will not be fixed by it. This tutorial does not enable you to use prototype touchpad keyboards on prototype or non-prototype calculators. I would recommend buying another keyboard.
1. Turn on the calculator. Press
[N] [4] to open the Handheld Status screen.
2. Verify that the displayed OS version is one of:
3. Press
until the About button is highlighted, then press
. Verify that your calculator has the Boot1 version: 1.0.1.8916. If it does not, please reply in this thread with more information. DON'T CONTINUE THE TUTORIAL!
4. Press
until you return to the home screen.
Part 2: Installing appropriate OS
1. Download and install OS 3.9.0.463 from here, if it's not already installed. 3.9.0.461 will not work, only 463.
2. Press
and
appropriately to finish the setup.
Part 3: Installing Ndless
1. In the Nspire software, delete every folder and file on the calculator.
2. Download this zip file. Extract the contents of it into a folder.
3. Copy the following items from the extracted folder onto the calculator:
4. Turn on the calculator so that the home screen is visible. Dismiss any messages about files being received by pressing
.
5. Press [T]
so that "installer" in the folder "A 1" is opened. Press
and then [V] (not W) to complete the Ndless installation.
Part 4: Installing permanent patch
1. In the Nspire software, delete the folder "A 1" on the calculator.
2. Copy the following item from the extracted folder onto the calculator:
3. Dismiss any messages about files being received by pressing
.
4. Press [T]
so that "hwrevfix" in the folder "A 2" is opened.
5. If a popup appears informing you of success, press
to restart your calculator.
Your touchpad should now work!
You can delete the "ndless" and "A 2" folders now, they are unnecessary.
If you see a FATAL ERROR message (this will probably never happen):

Part 4: Installing permanent patch

- A 2 (entire folder)
3. Dismiss any messages about files being received by pressing

Your touchpad should now work!
You can delete the "ndless" and "A 2" folders now, they are unnecessary.
If you see a FATAL ERROR message (this will probably never happen):
- Plug your calculator into a USB charger so that it will never turn off.
- Immediately send me and critor a private message asking for help. Do not touch anything on your calculator, or attempt to undo the process, until you receive a response.
