The game includes a real fast graphic engine (16*16 tilemap display), a real fast and pixel-precision collision engine, realistic physics, while bringing to you hours of pure entertainment : * a huge city with high quality graphics (248*255 tiles) * many missions - 10 missions to complete - 6 races - 10 secrets to find * many different vehicles to discover (17) * ability to walk, to hijack vehicles, and to drive them, * ability to shoot at pedestrians and vehicles, * ability to blow up cars, * ability to be chased or shoot at by cops, * ability to get vehicle resprayed, and crushed, * ability to save your progress, * ability to view statistics, and much more ... ***************** ***** Usage ***** ***************** Transfer files ( 'gtasc' , 'gtatd' , 'gtatm' , 'gtaveh' ) to your calculator in 'main' folder, using TI-Connect software and transmission cable. Warning, total ROM size occupied is about 125000 kb. Archive all files, for freeing RAM memory (using VAR-Link Menu). Type 'gtasc()' in Home screen to play. If you get 'ASAP or Exec string too long' error, download 'TIGCC Tools Suite' here : http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/161/16198.html Then transfer 'ttstart' on your calculator and type 'ttstart("gtasc")' to play. **************** ***** Keys ***** **************** ---------- MENU ---------- [UP]/[DOWN] : select [2ND] : validate ---------- BY FOOT ---------- [LEFT]/[RIGHT] : turn left/right [2ND] : move forward [DOWN] : move backward [DIAMOND] : go into vehicle [ALPHA]/[HAND] : shoot with weapon ---------- IN VEHICLE ---------- [LEFT]/[RIGHT] : turn left/right [DOWN] : move backward [2ND] : move forward [DIAMOND] : get out of vehicle ---------- IN-GAME ---------- [ESC] : pause menu [+]/[-] : change contrast [SHIFT] : switch off **************************** ***** Hijack a vehicle ***** **************************** To hijack a vehicle, walk and enter in collision with the vehicle. Then use [DIAMOND] key to enter in the vehicle. You cannot hijack police vehicles. When driving, take care of collisions. The vehicle can damage itself. If too damaged (and about to explode), the vehicle will be flashing. In this case, get out of the vehicle before dying burnt ! You cannot get out, if vehicle is not stopped nor if there's an obstacle outside. ***************** ***** Gangs ***** ***************** In Sin City, you will find 4 gangs. Here is the table describing gangs : Gang - Localisation - Symbol --------------------------------- Loony - North West - L Scientist - North East - S Yakusa - South West - Y Zaibatsu - South East - Z ****************** ***** Police ***** ****************** You mustn't negligate police. There's a fugitive factor (that you can see in 'Stats' window) that indicates your wanted level. The factor increases if you kill pedestrians or burn vehicles. The more higher it is, the more you will be chased by cops. Policemen can chase you to bust you, or can even shoot at you. Police vehicles can also chase you to stop you. The more you're wanted, the more you'll see cops. If you are in a vehicle, you can cancel fugitive factor, by getting resprayed. Warning : getting resprayed costs $1000. You can earn money by completing missions. If you're wasted or busted, you will fail current mission. ********************** ***** Objectives ***** ********************** You have 3 kind of objectives : - missions to complete (10) - races to complete (6) - secrets to find (10) To start a mission, follow BOTTOM LEFT arrow. You will arrive on the place where to start the mission by walking upon it. Then simply follow instructions given to you. To start a race, follow TOP LEFT arrow and drive upon target. Once started, time counter will be displayed at TOP RIGHT. To drive into checkpoints, follow TOP LEFT arrow. You must finish race before time counter reaches 0, to win. There's a secret placed somewhere in the city. You will know how it looks like and that it is one, when you'll see it! Once found, another secret will be placed somewhere else. All this until you find all secrets (10). ***************** ***** Gates ***** ***************** You will discover gates that prevent you from going to East Side City.
