Re: TI-82 Early Hardware and ROM Versions
After over a year of market stagnation, I have found a TI-82 with ROM 1.0. It is expected to arrive here before 28 February 2017.
Serial number 0500730 (!); date code I-0593.
ROM 1.0 was speculated to exist as a United-TI member claimed to have a TI-82 with such a firmware, but efforts to contact the user failed. After a year and a half of searching, a calculator confirmed to have this ROM version has been found. At this point, only 3* remains undumped.
----
I also blindly purchased a TI-82, serial 0510400 I-0593. We'll see what it has when it arrives (hopefully 3* ). Notably, the serial number is lower than the TI-82's with ROM 3..

Great, congratulations !
Unlike the 1.0 TI-81, I hope the 1.0 TI-82 can be dumped the usual way this time.

Fortunately, the only thing we know about 1.0 is that the assembly loading exploit still works. It exhibits the same behavior as 3. when executing a shell: it loads machine code with incorrect addresses, leading to a RAM clear.

Well, I just blindly purchased a bundle of 4 graphing calcs (2x TI-82, 1x TI-83, 1x TI-83 Plus) + a TI-BAII, all for around 50euro (thank you for the tip, btw)
We'll see if there's anything interesting, otherwise we can hope there is going to be some resell value in this...

I think it's also worth noting that the two TI-82s purchased by Adriweb are potentially interesting; we never got to see any serial numbers but the physical characteristics are consistent with other prototypes.

@CVSoft You got the TI-82 1.0 ?
Could you dump the ROM the usual way ?

Re: TI-82 Early Hardware and ROM Versions
It is already done. And some photos are in its dedicated album.
BTW from EFNet #ti:
BTW from EFNet #ti:
04:15:48 <notipabot> TI-82 ROM 1.0 has been dumped.
04:16:29 <notipabot> it behaves exactly like 4* as far as bugs go
04:17:09 <notipabot> which means, interestingly, that ROM 3. introduced a bug
