Thanks for sharing.
I am very sorry, but for the next 3 days I 'll have no CX with HW<J by hand, and thus won't be able to test nLaunchX on real hardware this week.

You can use my code, it's not forbidden.
Unless your think the code is bad, too big/heavy or overkill, of course.

Re: Patching 4.4.0.532 CAS to run on Non-CAS
My advice would be to keep ControlX instead of trying to replace it.
There are many bricking possibilities in the nBoot context, and maybe even more to come with next OS updates.
ControlX and its installation tutorial have been thought thoroughly, to give the user the possibility to recover from most of them.
No bricking has been reported so far.
Replacing ControlX by something lighter just to have smaller code is very dangerous in my opinion.
There are alternatives : you can make an image bootable by ControlX (and anyway, it can even be set as the default boot image).
You can check :
- Splash 1.0 : archives_voir.php?id=770716 (bootable by both ControlX and nBoot)
- DummyOS CX : archives_voir.php?id=775743 (bootable by both ControlX and nBoot)
And anyway, I am currently validating the next ControlX release with huge improvements. You don't really to work on a replacement - your Ndless starter patching program should be enough in such context.

Re: Patching 4.4.0.532 CAS to run on Non-CAS
For the moment, I've tested every possible setup up to version 4.2 :
- CX non-CAS OS 3.0.1-3.9.1 on CX non-CAS + 32MiB SDRAM
- CX CAS OS 3.0.1-3.9.1 on CX CAS + 32MiB SDRAM (Ndless installation fails on 3.6 and 3.9.1 - SDRAM exhausted)
- CX CAS OS 3.0.1-3.9.1 on CX non-CAS + 32MiB SDRAM (Ndless installation fails on 3.6 and 3.9.1 - SDRAM exhausted)
- CX non-CAS OS 3.0.1-3.9.1 on CX CAS + 32MiB SDRAM
- CX non-CAS OS 3.0.1-4.2 on CX non-CAS + 64MiB SDRAM
- CX CAS OS 3.0.1-4.2 on CX CAS + 64MiB SDRAM
- CX CAS OS 3.0.1-4.2 on CX non-CAS + 64MiB SDRAM
- CX non-CAS OS 3.0.1-4.2 on CX CAS + 64MiB SDRAM
I'm starting to test versions 4.3-4.4.
CX/CX CAS OSes 3.0.1-3.9.1 should work on CM calculators too.
I need to confirm on real hardware and then update the nBoot+ControlX tutorial to mention CM calculators, as apparently both nBoot and ControlX just work as is.
(in its current form, the ControlX Linux loader won't work with 32MiB SDRAM)
CM OSes on CX are planned too. It's not that useless. CM OSes are smaller and thus give you much more free SDRAM space for Ndless programs.
Among other things, that's because they don't have to handle the TI-Navigator, that no normal student is using in many countries other than the USA anyway.
