- Screen size: 320 x 240 pixels (2.8" diagonal)
- Screen resolution: 140 DPI; 16-bit color
- Powered by the TI Rechargeable Battery (included)
- 3.0 MB FLASH ROM memory for data archive and storage of Apps
- 154KB of available RAM memory
- USB port for computer connectivity

TI created the TI-84 Plus CE in response to feedback from students using earlier models of the TI-84 Plus. "Students asked us to make their go-to graphing calculator slimmer, sleeker, more colorful, and lightweight, and we answered with the modern, streamlined design of the TI-84 Plus CE," said Peter Balyta, Ph.D., president of TI Education Technology. "Once you hold the new TI-84 Plus CE in your hand, you will immediately see and feel the improvements."
The TI-84 Plus CE has six times the memory of the TI-84 Plus so students can store vivid, full-color graphs, images and data. The lightweight yet durable design also makes the graphing calculator easier to carry to and from school and activities for today's on-the-go students.
Teachers will appreciate that the key placement, navigation and menus are the same as earlier TI-84 Plus models so they can continue to use their current classroom activities. Parents will appreciate that a one-time purchase of a TI-84 Plus CE in middle school will take students through all of the math courses they need to take in high school, college and beyond– including algebra, geometry, calculus and statistics.
The TI-84 Plus CE graphing calculator is permitted on high-stakes exams, including the PSAT/NMSQT*, SAT* and ACT® college entrance exam as well as Advanced Placement* exams that allow or require a graphing calculator. The TI-84 Plus CE will be available for purchase later this spring. For information on availability, visit our website.
