Well, not a build error : "C:\MinGW\msys\1.0\bin\make.exe: *** couldn't commit memory for cygwin heap, Win32 error 0"
You need more RAM apparently

Try to close everything but that. Restarting the build should resume the current software to build (which may be gcc part 2 ?)

On the other hand, my MSYS2 toolchain seems to work.

Confirmed, everything working fine, all the samples build

In my case, nain things compiled from msys2 (gcc 4.9), some other via mingw64 (gcc 5.2)

So apparently, it's possible, though not without effort, to get things building on cygwin, mingw, and msys2. Phew.

A quick search gave me this: https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug- ... 00042.html. Apparently there is a compatibility issue with MinGW and Gnulib.
You could try applying this patch: https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug- ... Go3uYC.txt. The relevant files from Gnulib are gdb/gnulib/import/m4/time_h.m4 and gdb/gnulib/import/time.in.h .

Ah, this small patch is specific to MinGW(32), it may explain why it worked for me...
If it still fails, maybe you can skip GDB altogether if you were not going to use it (and I could try making a zip of my compiled one and upload it)...

For later :
- Genzehn should be able to be built, though it only worked from me with the -mt library suffix (the makefile tries it if the non-mt isn't working IIRC). I can upload that as well if needed.
Note: I had a weird header error at compile time, it's because Windows doesn't see the symlink to the header requested or something, two folders up. So I just copied it in the folder and changed the path to it, and it worked fine.

Once the things in the toolchain folder are done, go back one folder up, there are a few more things here (in this order) :
- tools/Luna doesn't have to be built (especially with OpenSSL deps, it's a bit of a pain on Windows apparently), you can just download the latest luna.exe from unsads.
- tools/zehn_loader should be able to get compiled directly.
- libsyscalls needs PHP, although just to generate some other files, so I suppose anyone with it compiled can give you the "built" .h files if you can't build them yourself (I myself couldn't as I didn't have PHP on windows, so I just did it on Mac...)
- libndls should be able to get compiled directly once libsyscalls is done.

And that's it (don't forget to add the 2 bin folders to your $PATH, as reminded at the end of build_toolchain.sh.
