How did you get your log_2?

Sur Nspire, avec la template du log, il y a un espace avec la base à remplir, simplement (optionnel, d'ailleurs).

... et cela pourrait expliquer la réponse de GIAC.
En effet, si je ne m'abuse, GIAC considère "x,y" comme une paire et est capable d'appliquer certaines fonctions à une paire.
Ici, il aurait appliqué la fonction "log" à la paire "2^x, 2" et renvoyé tout naturellement "log(2^x), log(2)".

Si le template est traduit en log(x,2), ca va etre facile d'accepter la notation TI sur khicas. [Edit] Voila, je viens de mettre a jour khicas.zip.
Sinon, pour repondre a Persalteas, je suis en effet enseignant-chercheur a l'UJF.

Currently, I'm testing khicas so far so good, but the log function seems not working.

giac/khicas conventions for logarithms is as follow:
* ln and log are synonyms for natural logarithm
* log10 is base 10 logarithm
* logb is logarithm in basis b, e.g. logb(32,2)
These conventions may differ from TI conventions. How did you get your log_2?

I got the log_2 by pressing ctrl+10_power_x then you can input the base 2, it's the default for input log function. I've been testing this on cas teacher software and it shown the correct answer which is x.

Reload it and the result still not correct, by the way my OS version is 3.6. I also tried log(10_x) which gave me nothing.

By reload he meant to redownload the file from his server, since he updated it in the meantime.

Not sure about the log(10_x) "issue" though.

Ok, I got it works now. Another minor issue is when I input log(10_Power_x) as shown above is x.ln(10) which is wrong.
