If anyone's interested, it looks like they "fixed" a bug with simplify on trig expressions in this update. I reported a bug to Casio in March about how a certain trig expression returns two different results with

tExpand
and simplify
, because simplify
's answer was incorrect. They've now changed the behaviour of simplify
so that it doesn't do anything at all to this expression, rather than giving an incorrect answer. The following attachment shows the different outputs between tExpand
and simplify
, as well as the new output of simplify
