Just wondering about this.
After Upgrading to CX CAS from CX NON CAS.
How to completely resert everything back to normal? I have 4.4 version AB hardware.
Btw, if you upgrade your calc from non cas to cas does the product id change aswell?
Or is it the same product ID regardless which OS you are running?
Thanks
Ed_Eng87 wrote:Ok, so thats a bummer I have some apps and if my ID changes chances are that the apps wont work.
From which step to follow to reset the calc back to default 4.4.0 NON CAS OS version without that warning at boot?
critor wrote:My guess is that you didn't select the right file at step D5.
It could be fixed easily by resuming at step D and being more careful.
But you need an OS for this, and apparently in your case when you send the non-CAS OS 4.5 it does remove itself on its first boot.
I don't know why, such behaviour hasn't been reported in this topic.

I mean that I can't downgrade the OS. So the OS should be installed at least partially, or am I wrong?
Looks to me like the OS gets corrupted on first start.

The downgrade protection works even with no OS at all
