Re: [Tutorial] Install Ndless 4.0/4.2
Hi, I installed ndless 4.2 yesterday and got it working. However, the day after when I tried to install ndless after a reboot, the green text doesn't appear and ndless doesn't activate anymore. Is there something going on with the hardware?

Well, it's the first time ever I/we see a rev. Y
Though it shouldn't affect Ndless...
BTW ndless isn't reboot-proof so you'll have to re-open the installer after a reboot. Is that what you did?

Yes, I tried to reboot multiple times and install ndless in each reboot, but the text doesn't appear for a particular reason. Also, I did note that when using operations such as sin() or cos(), its operator symbol seems corrupted.

Huh, weird. I'm not sure what would cause issues like this but there's always something to try: backup your stuff on the computer, go into the maintenance menu, format everything, then install the OS and ndless back again.
Also, before that, could you post a screenshot where the text appears corrupted?

Unfortunately, I formatted the device before you mentioned that, but the device works after placing ndless in the calculator. I believe the cos () function didn't show cos () itself but instead displayed random text (sometimes a space, other times arrows depending on where I navigated through the calculator). The function itself didn't work though.
However, once I put the ndless inside another folder, it doesn't work anymore. Seems that I have to put the folder in the root of the calculator file system.

Yes, the tutorial mentions putting it in the root

When it's all done correctly, there is no "wait" involved, it's instant.
1) Are you sure you followed the steps *exactly*? For instance, putting the ndless folder at the root of the calculator (directly in the Documents folder, not in any subfolder)
2) What is your datecode+hardware-revision (the few last characters to the right of the serial, on the back of the calculator)
