nClock isn't compatible with versions 4.4+.

nPDF, nDoom and crafti aren't startup programs, you shouldn't put them in the /ndless/startup/ folder.

Uhm, I really thinked the startup folder was just a quick way to run any program as soon as Ndless is installed to open Nclock and nPDF or other things just for convinience. But I think I understood it wrong.

And unfortunately, the CAS patchers have been removed from github.

That's unfortunate. Looks like I might need to build it from source if there's a fork of it somewhere. I have the toolchain set up (since I was planning on "reviving" an old game I made for the nSpire many years ago) but if I can't figure it out then I'll just roll back CX since I'm more interested in getting my game to work then to have CAS features.

EDIT: Found the source from another fork and got it compiled. Computations now work on 4.5.3.14. I'll push the source to my github and attach pictures to show it working.

EDIT 2: Also, I'll attach images of what it looks like when my calculator boots with both nLoader and ControlX. Pretty sure it isn't supposed to look like that, any idea what's up with it? I probably broke something years ago but it works so it's not a huge deal.

Any chance of sharing the CAS patch for 4.5.4.48?

Hello everyone,

since i use my ti (non Cas model) more and more in the past months i wanted it to upgrdae to CAS and with this tutorial i did it successfully.

So as you my notice i´m completely new to this world. I did this process with every part of the os on 4.4 (os is on 4.4, ndless, Boot2 and Boot1.5).
My question is if i want to upgrade to 4.5: first of all it is possible, right ? All i need to do is, first install the normal non Cas 4.5 os, then ndless 4.5, while following the tutorial and the Boot2 und Boot1.5 also should be 4.5 or did is miss something ?

If nLoader is up to date (2021 April for the last build), you may update your calculator up to version 4.5.4.
If not, you just have to update nLoader first.

4.5.4 is the highest version supported by both nLoader and Ndless.

The more recent 4.5.5 version isn't supported so far, neither by Ndless, nor by nLoader.

I downloaded the Version, that is linked in the Tutorial. If I Drag and drop the new cas os (i have tried it with 4.5) onto my Calculator, it says that i need a Version for my Calculator (which is a normal cx).

How do i upgrdae the nloader?
And do i need to upgrade ndless aswell?

Yes the Calculator runs CAS OS 4.4.0.532, has the nLoader_CAS_OS.bin and nMaker on it.

In order to update nLoader you have to perform the installation steps again :

Then nLoader is probably up to date, unless you did download it from somewhere else.

No, don't touch the Boot1.5 and Boot2. nLoader doesn't support versions 4.5

If sending the 4.5.4 CAS OS doesn't work with the 4.4.0 CAS OS running, then yes you can try deleting the current OS through the maintenance menu, and then trying again.
