Ok, you get the 'system error' while trying to install nLaunch with a CAS OS.
Now I get it.

Then, what happens if:
- you install a non-CAS OS
- you send the CAS OS as /nlaunch/phoenix.tns
- you reboot the calculator

I don't have a CAS OS installed, I have a NON-CAS OS installed and i'm trying to install the CAS OS.

And that's why you should try to:
- install Nlaunch with a non-CAS OS
- send the CAS OS as /nlaunch/phoenix.tns
- reboot the calculator

It's done, and working! thanks for your help.
How I did it:
Full format, 4 option of the maintence menu.
Then installed the TI_NspireCX_3.2.0.1219.tco (I tried with other non-CAS OS and didn't work, this one was the only one that worked!)
Installed the CAS with no problem!

HELLO - It is 9-10-2013 as of this writing I can CONFIRM THAT the program runs 100%

I bought IT Nspire CX with NO CAS 2 weeks ago - I can confirm that these calculator come pre-loaded with the OS - 3.2.0.1219 but I UPGRADED to the NEW OS. My mistake - I simply re-installed 3.2.0.1219 through the software link and I installed the CAS as per instructions and IT WORKS. No errors so far.

sent the nlaunch folder to my TI nspire cx, held the 3 buttons, hit reset.deleted the os and connected it to my computer again. My computer sees the calc but it wont let me send nlaunch.tco

Can anyone help me? I resent the nlaunch folder, but it just shows an x when I try to drag the nlaunch folder over.

EDIT: I was finally able to send nlaunch.tco but it does nothing. "operating system not found. install OS now" message does not go away. Resending nlaunch folder and nlaunch tco does the same. What should I do??

Just try to send the .tco again - as explained in the Nlaunch CX readme, there is some randomness. Unplugging the USB just after sending the file might help.

If it definately doesn't want to work, then you probably missed one of the steps.

I have a newer version than 3.1.0.392 how do i install 3.1.0.16 boot2

I spent 170$ on this calculator now it has no OS and nothing I do is working. Is it even possible to get this thing functional anymore?

Ah ok... Nlaunch does need Boot2 3.1 yes, and is not compatible with more recent versions.

Check your hardware revision on the back. It's the last letter in the datestamp on the right of your serial number.
For exemple here is hardware revision A:

If you have hardware revision J or K, then definately there is no way to install and use Nlaunch.

Just reinstall the 3.2.4 OS:
