Casio fx-570EX Clone
Hi!
I'm new here and I would like to share with all of you what I recently acquired,
A fx-570EX Clone (I have the original one too )
I bought it in my home country, Malaysia but it doesn't seem to be manufactured here
Calculators with number '570' are really popular here and are strongly recommended by teachers to be bought even Canon caught up to the trend and release a '570' calculator here (F-570SG) and also the cause of why there's so many '570' calculator clones here.
Here do take a look:
The things I noticed:
1. It is 2 to 3 times slower than the original, maybe I'll bring in an ES PLUS to test against it
2. The QR Code generated by the calculator for any calculations is fake, unscannable and is the same
3. The authenticity test doesn't generate any QR Code
4. The screen refreshes at a slower rate than the original
5. The answers calculated are sometimes differ by several digits
Any other tests that you would want me to do? Please do let me know

Re: Casio fx-570EX Clone
In China we have the same situation. But pirate calculators here are clones of fx-991EX and fx-82ms 2nd edition. As for the fake fx-991EX,some of them shows wrong QR code and some of them can't use the function. And their solar panels are just a piece of plastic and can't provide energy to the calculator. It's arcsin(arccos(arctan(tan(cos(sin(9)))))) is also 8.9999.... In fact fx-991EX are not available for Chinese mainland users. So they sell them in some second hand market website and lie that they are defective goods. The price of it is almost 70% less than a real one.
A post about the fake fx-991EX: https://tieba.baidu.com/p/6552438476
About the fake fx-82ms 2nd edition, it prints a key wrong. In fx-82ms 2nd edition, the "EXP" key has been changed to "*10^x" key. But they obviously ignored that.

Wow! Just noticed they changed the EXP button, and do see my replies on https://tiplanet.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=51&t=23931
fx-570MS 2nd Edition fakes sold in Malaysia prints EXP as 10^x, very sure it's manufactured in China and not locally,

They may found that and correct that and, another possibility is that they are not one and the same factory.

It is true that China is one of the biggest producers of the fake and clone casio calculators. And a weird fact is, casio treat those fake producers as competitors instead of copycats.

Thanks for linking me to that forum, are there any other Chinese forum discussing calculators too (except cncalc)?
Quick update:
The firmware version is similar to that of https://tieba.baidu.com/p/5889812479

Well, nowadays many Chinese calculator amateurs use QQ group to discuss about calculators. So I'm sorry, as far as I know, there isn't another one.
