Re: cannot boot, Issue with Controlx
My calculator claims it is on 4.5.1! I guess I misclicked. Oh well. Too late, right?

Re: cannot boot, Issue with Controlx
BTW my files are all still there, but I don't want to click on ndless as I am apparently now on an unexploitable version of the software

Re: cannot boot, Issue with Controlx
If you did install OS 4.5.1 without checking/fixing what's wrong with nBoot/ControlX, yes it's too late.

Re: cannot boot, Issue with Controlx
Ok. Thanks. Does that mean that I am stuck with reduced memory because the partition is permanently locked off?

Re: cannot boot, Issue with Controlx
Yes, until an Ndless installer gets released for OS 4.5.1 or 4.5.2.

Re: cannot boot, Issue with Controlx
Currently, very low as far as I know.
It may take several months, it might take several years...

Re: cannot boot, Issue with Controlx
For completeness:
Windows will not install the libusb-win32 driver on its own, AFAIK. And the libusb-win32 driver can be made to work without interfering with TI's software (and vice-versa), as long as they are executing in mutual exclusion when the calculator is connected (of course), as described in the README.

Re: cannot boot, Issue with Controlx
I am a grad student and this calculator is essentially my toy (I have the CAS if I need it, and I havent taken a standardized exam that allows graphing calculators in a decade). I can accept some risk of bricking it. With that in mind, is it feasible to reflash boot2 via ttl?
Preliminarily, It looks like you can (I can read it at 115200 baud at least), but that the version check is still done completely within in the OS, so it will refuse an older os anyway?
