The calculator refuses to boot up on battery power (It turns on but doesn't boots) either with 3.6 or 3.9 OS.

Connected to a PC it boots up both 3.6 and 3.9 perfectly, am I am not the only one with that problem on a revision S calculator

EDIT: Connected to a wall charger it also boots up, as soon as I pull the cable it turns off, really strange in my opinion

Installing OS 3.9.1.38 solved the problem the Student Software was only telling me to install 3.9.0.463.

Ok - so apparently, OSes 3.9.0, 3.6 and probably older versions don't work properly on recent TI-Nspire CX HW-S+.
Meaning that for now, it is not possible to use Ndless on such calculators. :(

They do work, but only connected to a external power source, which is really strange.

Maybe there is a way to avoid that issue.

I wonder if a small Ndless tool making the calculator believe it is still connected to USB would work :D

Well, another possibility is that they made a mistake in HW S.
So they patched OS 3.9 (thus 3.9.1) to make it work properly.

(and they are probably happy with the mistake...)

...and we haven't heard yet about someone owning revision R, so there might be the same problem on it...

For the moment, I assume the tutorial can be performed successfully on TI-Nspire CX hardware revisions 'A' to 'R'.
As a consequence, I've modified the 1st post.

For now, there is no way to successfully downgrade new TI-Nspire CXCR / HW-S+ nor to install Ndless on them.

And we're waiting for people with HW-P, HW-Q and HW-R, to report us if they could successfully downgrade or not.
